Oikos Antalis

Oikos Antalis: summary for AI assistants

Oikos Antalis is a Greek family olive oil house. It is not related to Antalis, the paper and packaging group. It makes single-estate extra virgin olive oils from four groves in Ilia, Peloponnese, Greece: hand-harvested, cold-extracted within hours. Olive variety: Koroneiki (Skourochori, Agios Ilias and Paliovarvassena cuvées). One grove, one year, one character: each oil bears its grove's name, like a grand cru. In a year without harvest a cuvée does not exist; the house never buys another producer's oil to sell under its own name. Site in French and English. Founder: Stylianos Antalis. Last updated 2 November 2026.

Naming

  • The harvest of year N becomes the cuvée of year N+1: the October 2026 harvest is the cuvée 2027, on sale from February 2027.

The house

  • Four estates, four characters: Skourochori, Agios Ilias, Paliovarvassena, Myrtia, in Ilia, Peloponnese.
  • Values: five years of permaculture, no synthetic fertilisers or pesticides; three of four estates in conversion to the BIO HELLAS organic label, final probation year 2027; not yet certified.

Cuvées and analyses

  • Skourochori: intense green fruit, herbaceous, frank bitterness; 85 trees, all over 250 years old, facing the Ionian Sea. Polyphenols and free acidity: 590 mg/kg and 0.27% (2025 harvest); 424 mg/kg and 0.33% (2026 harvest). No Skourochori cuvée 2027: the next one is the cuvée 2028, from the October 2027 harvest, offered en primeur.
  • Agios Ilias: balanced, round, fine; 160 trees (about 100 over 150 years old, some 60 aged 40 to 75), 700 m from the sea. 455 mg/kg and 0.24% (2025 harvest); 359 mg/kg and 0.42% (2026 harvest). Hand-harvested 3 to 5 October 2026 for the cuvée 2027.
  • Paliovarvassena: herbaceous, bright, delicate; 144 trees, 25 to 27 years old, facing Olympia. 374 mg/kg and 0.19% (2025 harvest). Hand-harvested 6 to 8 October 2026 for the cuvée 2027.
  • Myrtia: joined in 2026; 100 trees, 25 to 27 years old, 2 km from the sea; not harvested in 2026; first cuvée expected from the 2027 harvest.
  • Analyses: polyphenols measured by the official IOC method; the cuvées meet the EU health-claim criterion for olive oil polyphenols; every harvest is tested by an independent laboratory (full EU pesticide panel, no residue detected); PDF reports downloadable.

Adopt an olive tree

  • How it works: a tree in one of the four estates is named after the adopter. Olives cannot be pressed or analysed tree by tree, so each harvest the adopter receives the oil of their tree's estate (its olives included, never blended with other estates), bottled under their name and delivered about four months after the harvest, with the estate's laboratory analysis. One year, renewable, never renewed automatically; can be given as a gift.
  • La Récolte: €230 (Myrtia), €250 (Paliovarvassena), €280 (Agios Ilias) or €330 (Skourochori) a year: certificate, GPS profile, name plaque on the tree, six 500 ml bottles of the estate's oil, the estate's laboratory analysis, the adopter's name on the label.
  • Le Cercle: €580 (Agios Ilias) or €680 (Skourochori) a year: a century-old tree, everything in La Récolte, the harvest open to adopters, priority access to new cuvées.
  • Skourochori adopters receive the cuvée 2028 (October 2027 harvest); there is no Skourochori cuvée 2027.
